PAINT NITE

MASTER ARTIST/HOST

November 2015 - January 2019

As a Master Artist/Host for Paint Nite, I was responsible for teaching between 8 – 50 adults step by step how to paint the selected piece for that night.  Many of the guests drink alcohol during the event so it is important that my directions are clear and I project my voice.  Since this night is about fun, it was also important that I entertain the guests and keep the event light while they socialize and paint. These events are held at different locations so I am also responsible for transporting all equipment needed to the venues.  This involves lifting, moving, setting up and taking down as well as cleaning all brushes at the end of the night.

June 2004 - July 2008

Hired as a Production Artist for large digital printing facility and promoted within a year to Lead Designer.
I successfully translated subject matter into working designs for posters, brochures, flyers, media mailers, banners, commercial packaging, CD design, letterhead and business cards. Managed and design customized websites as well as create and upload templates for variable web to print site in addition to managing variable text and images to generate production ready files. Collaborated with sales team to secure new clients and maintain customer communication. Work closely with clients to create vision, conceive designs, and meet deadline requirements. In charge of the Digital Pre-press Production and Color Management as well as responsible for scanning, manipulating and retouching photos with appropriate software.

CATHODE RAY CLUB

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERNSHIP

September 2003 - May 2004

Intern for motion design studio. Organized and facilitate specific project-oriented tasks. Collaborative process to produce television commercials, create program packaging and total on-air identities for broadcast and cable television network clients such as “The History Channel”. I assisted the Studio Manager in project management and create/design/execute media mailers and packaging, in addition to posting new material to website.

NUTLEY PRINT & COPY

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERNSHIP

Summers 2000 - 2003

Summer intern for printing press. Assisted the Graphics Department in designing flyers, brochures, banners, and menus for various local businesses. Worked on the Digital and Offset Pre-press Production.
Accurately typeset and proofread copy. I was responsible for handling special types of printing such as large paper printing or manual/handbook sized printing and binding. Reviewed, prioritized and submitted print requests from desktop according to complexity and urgency.
